Dr Emma Ferriman is a Consultant Obstetrician and a Specialist in Fetal Medicine. She graduated from Liverpool University Medical School in 1990. Dr Ferriman completed her basic training in and around the Liverpool region. She became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1995 (MRCOG). In 1997 she moved to the Leeds General Infirmary in West Yorkshire to do subspecialty training in fetal and maternal medicine. In 1998 she obtained the joint diploma in ultrasound awarded by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist (RCOG) and The Royal College of Radiology (RCR). In 2001 she accredited as a specialist in obstetrics and gynaecology and a subspecialist in fetal and maternal medicine. She took up a Consultant post in Leeds in 2001 and worked as a full time Consultant from October 2001 to November 2015. In November 2015 Dr Ferriman was appointed as a Consultant with a special interest in Fetal medicine at the Jessop Wing, The Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield. She works privately at Thisismy Health and Ultrasound Screening Centre, Leeds.
Dr Ferriman lives in North Leeds; she is married and has two children aged 14 and 11 years. She spends most of spare time ferrying her children to and from various sporting events. She herself is a keen runner and sports enthusiast when she has the time!
