"I have known Dr Emma Ferriman as a patient since 2010. In my experience, she is an excellent doctor and a great person who shows care & kindness to her patients. I was under her care for my two pregnancies, both my pregnancies were a high risk due to its nature. I am a doctor by profession, working as a consultant gastroenterologist in Yorkshire.
Her clinical expertise is excellent. She is very considerate and places patients first before anything else in her practice.
She never hesitated to take that extra measure to help me as her patient to receive excellent clinical care. She was a consultant obstetrician at Leeds and performed my caesarean to deliver my first son. I always felt reassured and cared for when she saw me in her clinics, on the ward and during my operation.
After my initial experience, I had so much faith in her clinical skills and her as a person that I wanted her to look after my second pregnancy as well. She was a consultant in Sheffield during my second pregnancy.
I therefore booked myself in Sheffield although Leeds was closer to where I live because, I wanted Dr Ferriman to be my obstetrician. I had an emergency caesarean section which she performed with great skill and delivered my second son safely. It was a complex operation and I was very anxious. She never failed to reassure me during the operation.
Dr Ferriman's patients are so lucky to have her look after them. She is an outstanding doctor, a genuine and caring human being. I just wish there are more doctors like Dr Ferriman in our National Health Service so that more patients receive the same exquisite clinical care that I received. Me and my husband are always grateful to her and cannot thank her enough for the care she gave us as a doctor and for getting our two sons into this world safely and healthily."
